School Description:
Newman University is named for John Henry Cardinal Newman, and founded by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ for the purpose of empowering graduates to transform society. The Newman University educational experience is grounded in Catholic values and traditions, yet is respectful of other faith communities. The university meets the needs of daytime students as well as returning adults, who take advantage of evening and Saturday class formats. At Newman you'll find people, programs, organizations and activities designed to educate your mind and inspire your spirit.
Newman was founded in 1933 with its main campus located in Wichita, KS. Newman also offers select programs in Western and Southeastern Kansas; Tulsa and Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Colorado Springs. Newman, with an enrollment around 2300 students from around the world, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Newman offers more than 40 undergraduate and graduate degree programs; and more than 30 campus clubs and organizations; including study abroad opportunities. Because of Newman's small size and individual attention by faculty mentors, homeschool students find Newman is comfortable and a great place to continue growing in your faith and your studies.
